Effect of Standard Disk Plough on Soil Translocation in Sloping Sicilian Vineyards

Tillage is the main force of soil redistribution in agricultural land use and has been seen as more critical than water erosion. This study aims to evaluate effect tillage with standard disk vineyards. A representative area grapevines was selected, 39 inter-rows were selected test slope forward speed. In each inter-row, a strip collected, mixed 2 kg coloured sand used tracer, then replaced strip, shallow performed by means plough. Three subsamples collected along every 0.30 m from tracer separated weighed. The results show that mean translocation distance ranged 0.73 1.14 upslope direction, 0.32 0.84 downslope direction. net −0.33 ± 0.12 which indicate an movement. Mean not significantly affected considered speeds. These demonstrate can reallocate open new insights into plough sustainable management
